Getting Started With the LTS Connect App

Set up the LTS Connect app step by step — create a PT Cloud account, enable PT Cloud on your device, add it by QR code, and get your first live view.

New to LTS Connect? This guide walks first-time users — homeowners, small businesses, and installers — through everything from installing the app to seeing your LTS camera, DVR, or NVR live on your phone for the first time.

What is the LTS Connect app?

LTS Connect is the free mobile app from LT Security for managing LTS DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, video doorbells, intercoms, and access control over the internet. It uses LT Security's PT Cloud P2P service to reach your devices remotely, so you don't need to configure port forwarding. LTS Connect officially replaced the older NVMS7000 mobile app.

There is no LTS Connect desktop app. On a computer, use NVMS V3 for Windows or the NVMS7000 CMS for Mac to view the same devices.

How to set up the LTS Connect app

The whole setup is four stages: install the app, create a PT Cloud account, turn on PT Cloud at the device, then add the device in the app.

1. Install the app and allow notifications

  1. Download LTS Connect from the App Store (iOS 13+) or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and, when prompted, allow notifications.
  3. Allow local network/Wi-Fi access if asked, especially during local setup.

Motion-detection push alerts only arrive if notifications are enabled. If you tap "Don't Allow" here, you'll get live view but no alerts — turn them back on later under your phone's Settings → Notifications → LTS Connect.

2. Create your PT Cloud account

  1. On the login screen, tap Register (Sign Up).
  2. Enter your email or phone number, set a password, and confirm the verification code.
  3. Sign in. One PT Cloud account works across all your phones and tablets, and the same login can be shared with additional users later (intercoms support up to 4 extra users).

3. Enable PT Cloud on the device

Your DVR, NVR, or camera has to be allowed to talk to the cloud first. This is a one-time step done in the device's own menus.

  1. On the recorder's local monitor (or its web interface), open the Network settings, then Platform Access (sometimes labeled PT Cloud / P2P).
  2. Enable Platform Access and make sure the status reads Online.
  3. Confirm the device has a working internet connection.

4. Add a device by QR code

  1. In LTS Connect, go to the device list and tap + (Add Device).
  2. Choose Scan QR Code.
  3. Point the camera at the QR code and follow the prompts to finish adding.

Where do I find the QR code or serial number?

  • QR code: printed on the device label (on the camera body or the bottom/back of the NVR), and shown on-screen in the NVR's Platform Access menu.
  • Serial number: also on that physical label, or inside the device GUI under Maintenance / System Info.

Adding a device by serial number (fallback)

If you can't scan the code, add it manually:

  1. On the Add Device screen, choose Manual Add (by serial number).
  2. Enter the device serial number, then the verification/device code if requested.
  3. Tap to add.

"Failed to recognize QR code"? Clean the camera lens, increase the screen brightness or wipe the label, hold the phone 4–8 inches away, and steady your hand. Still stuck? Switch to manual add by serial number.

Your first live view

Once the device is added, tap it in the device list to open live view. From there you can:

  • Switch channels and quality, and pinch to zoom.
  • Open playback to search recordings on the timeline.
  • Use two-way talk and, on doorbells/access devices, remote unlock.

If live view spins or stays black, confirm Platform Access shows Online on the device and that your phone has a stable connection.

Still need help?

For hardware faults, firmware, or PT Cloud account and password issues, contact your LTS dealer or LT Security's official help center. App and CMS downloads are at the LTS downloads page. This is an independent guide site — we can't reset passwords or access your account.
